Sparked by an unfortunate comment on social media, this episode casts a swift spotlight on conquering civil rights by talking about the Suffragettes and the Stonewall riots, and ends with a reading of a beautiful poem by Adrienne Rich - What kinds of times are these (1995).

British writer Charles Dickens, in his novel "Hard Times" has a lot to say about education - but also the environment it took place in.
