26 GIU 2019 · Thanks for joining us on episode 2. It has taken 2 years to get the show up and running and for the next while we will be uploading an episode every two weeks. There are several podcasts already recorded and more guests lined up. Please give us a shout if you have any suggestions.
Recorded back in the Summer of 2016 at the National Concert Hall in Dublin. Thanks www.nch.ie
Declan was the special guest for the show and arrived in to the back stage area as I was finishing my chat with Eric and agreed to give up some of his precious time. He is a gifted storyteller and is always interesting to listen to whether he is singing or talking - I’m sure you’ll agree.
We mentioned The Irish Music Rights Organisation and they offer a range of services and supports for Irish Songwriters and you should most definitely check them out. www.imro.ie
Declan has a web page that has info on tours, news and a shop where you can get hold of his releases. www.declanorourke.com . There is a Spotify playlist that we created of some of our favourite songs by Declan and more info at www.createschool.ie/Spark

10 OTT 2017 · Welcome to Episode 1 of Speak About The Spark. Who better to have as our first guest than Eric Bogle? Eric has written some of the most well known songs of the past 40 years including "And The Band Played Waltzing Matilda" and "No Man's Land ( The Green Fields of France)" but if you delve a little deeper into his catalogue you will find plenty of gems. His new album "Voices" proves that his songwriting is as good, if not better, than ever. There's plenty of clips on YouTube and his music is available to buy from http://www.greentrax.com. There is no official website for Eric and no Social Media links which in this day and age is unheard of but that's just the way he likes it. You can find more info on the various matters that Eric discussed at www.createschool.ie/Spark. You can reach Peter Baxter on www.twitter.com/PeterMBaxter or www.facebook.com/PeterMBaxter.
There are more guests recorded and lined up over the coming months and please get in touch if you have any suggestions or comments. Worth noting that while this is our pilot podcast, it is Eric's as well and given that he is notoriously private it may well be his one and only appearance, so we hope you enjoy it.
