8 SET 2026 · This week on So Shameless, the crew gets into money, masculinity, street culture and everything the internet thinks a man is supposed to be.
Tahoe explains why he has absolutely NO interest in spending his money at the strip club when he’s there with his woman and her friends — but does that make him cheap, smart…or a simp? That leads us into the internet’s favorite insult: what actually makes a man a simp, and why are people calling Tahoe one?
We also debate Zoe Saldaña vs. Halle Berry and where Zoe belongs in the conversation among Hollywood’s top Black actresses.
Then things get more serious as we discuss Keefe D and the Tupac Shakur murder case, the conversation surrounding Lil Durk, and whether saying “Free Durk” is another example of our culture glorifying street life even when we repeatedly see where that lifestyle can lead. And somehow, we have to explain how Mo3’s killer and a pair of blue underwear ended up in the same conversation.
Finally, we get into masculinity and male friendships: Is there anything wrong with men being homosocial? Why are close relationships between men sometimes viewed suspiciously? And we tackle the provocative question: are Black men actually more gay than straight — or does that entire conversation reveal something bigger about how we view Black masculinity, sexuality and male friendship?
It’s another uncomfortable, hilarious and completely shameless conversation.

Should men be expected to handle the traditionally masculine things while women handle the feminine things in a relationship—or are those expectations outdated?
We also debate whether men ruin friendships with women by eventually wanting sex, and whether a woman planning AND paying for the third date is showing healthy interest or doing way too much, way too soon. Plus, do men take women who are constantly dating different people seriously when it comes time to choose a relationship?
Paris opens up about her history of dating the “fun guys”—men who are into clubs, bars, cars, clothes and the lifestyle—and whether choosing excitement over stability may have been working against her.
Then we get into social media relationship boundaries: Is a man liking other women’s pictures on Instagram harmless, or is it disrespectful to his relationship?
Finally, the crew reacts to Funky Dineva’s controversial comments about parents bringing autistic children into public spaces where people have a “reasonable expectation of peace,” including restaurants and airplanes—and whether expecting that kind of “peace” in a shared public space is reasonable in the first place.

Paris opens up about realizing bartending simply wasn’t for her, before the crew asks why women are so quick to hit their man with “WRONG B*TCH!” when he remembers something she doesn’t. Why is the first assumption that he must be confusing her with another woman?
Then things get serious.
The crew discusses the blackout in Gary, Indiana and questions surrounding the length of the power restoration, reports and concerns involving Black people being found hanging from trees in the South, and what Black communities should realistically be prepared for if racial tensions in America continue to escalate.
We also get into a disturbing Google search observation: why does searching “I’m alone with a white man” trigger language asking whether you’re scared or in danger, while similar searches involving other races or genders appear to produce different results?
Finally, we tackle one of the biggest debates in modern relationships: If men historically became providers partly because women had limited legal and economic opportunities, why are men still expected to financially provide now that women can earn, own, lead and—in many cases—out-earn men?
Have the opportunities changed while the relationship expectations stayed the same?

We start with a woman who says she’s only interested in men who are intentionally dating for marriage—but are men and women actually being prepared to become good husbands and wives? We debate fathers who teach their daughters to stay single, distrust men, and “be a boss” versus also teaching them what it takes to build a healthy relationship with a man.
Then things get uncomfortable: Should a husband feel disrespected if another man is overly complimenting his wife? Why do some men completely lose their composure around beautiful women? And is it ever okay to say the N-word around white people, even if you’re not talking to them?
We also react to Blueface calling a woman a “good darkskin” and debate whether the comment was a compliment, colorist, or just poorly worded. Plus, we get into the sexual double standard: Why are men celebrated for having multiple sexual partners while women are judged for doing the same thing—and should either one be judged at all?
Finally, things take a wild turn when a surrogate mother changes her mind and disappears with the baby.
