14 GIU 2024 · Shoulder Roll Virtual Boxing is part of the https://sportshistorynetwork.com/.EPISODE SUMMARYThe sons of two legends battle it out.SUPPORT NOURISHED BY HISTORYhttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpfEdUAygVyVCdUbLdezH6ghttps://www.patreon.com/NourishedbyHistoryhttps://www.buymeacoffee.com/upabovemyhwHOST OF SHOULD ROLL VIRTUAL (GREGORY ABDUR-RASHEED)I became a boxing enthusiast when I was 6 years old when Floyd Patterson regained the heavyweight championship of the world by beating Ingemar Johansson in 1960. That set the stage for my love of the sport of boxing. Patterson became my first sports hero. I was not interested in being a boxer, but I enjoyed reading about the history and watching fights. I always wondered what would happen if different fighters fought from different eras. Eventually, I purchased the tabletop game Title Bout in the 70s. The game allowed me to create various what-if matches. Title Bout evolved into a computer simulation titled Title Bout 2. It is this computer I use to recreate fights for my podcast Shoulder Roll Virtual Boxing. I have had over 20 years of being a radio host. I have used that experience to create this podcast. I have hosted music, news, and sports shows on KDKO, KGNU, KUVO, and KUHS in Colorado, KZUM in Nebraska, and Party 93 in New York. I currently have been hosting my radio show on KUHS from Bangkok, Thailand since 2018. SHOULDER ROLL BACKGROUNDThe Shoulder Roll Virtual Boxing podcast is the ultimate what-if show for the boxing enthusiast. It is for someone who sits around with their buddies, wondering what have happened if these two fighters fought in their prime. Could Mike Tyson beat Tyson Fury? Would Floyd Mayweather Jr beat Sugar Ray Leonard? There are so many imaginary matches to create to pit the best against the best of all time in boxing. The Shoulder Roll Virtual Boxing podcast will be your time machine, to create what-if fights. I sim the fights with a variety of computer and card and dice games.IMHO he has created the best PC game out there to produce the best results. Obviously, this will not solve the answers of what legendary boxer could beat another legend. But that is not the purpose of this podcast. I want you to sit back and use your imagination. It is all about having fun with a sport I love and know that you love.

I encourage you as a listener to send in your suggestions for matches for this weekly podcast. If your match is chosen, you will be given a shout out on the podcast as this bout's promoter. Now let's have some fun.
