  • What to Know About Your Pipes (Episode 42)

3 GIU 2024 · In this episode, we break down some major questions we believe customers should know the answers to when they reach out to a company like ours to address their underground plumbing problems. What size is your pipe? What type of pipe is it? What is the access from your house, building, etc? How often are you experiencing backups? These are all questions we at Royal Flush will need to know in the screening process to understand if your situation is the right fit for our epoxy pipe lining technology.

  • Vac Trucks, Trailer Parks, Failure (Episode 41)

13 MAG 2024 · In this episode, we talk about a variety of topics. The first one being our new jet/vac truck and the services we can offer because of it. With our ability to jet and vac catch basins, combined with our new excavation division, we're able to offer more solutions to a customer's underground plumbing issues. Second, we recently completed a project at a trailer park. Contrary to the perception that trailer parks lack funding, this particular customer had more than enough funds saved to fix their plumbing issues. • Sump Pumps

23 APR 2024 · In this episode, John breaks down sump pumps. What they are, what they do and how they work. Sump pumps are a great tool to prevent flooding in a home owner's basement, especially when the weather is as crazy as it has been in New England with all of the rain we've been getting. • What Causes Backups? (Episode 39)

18 APR 2024 · In this episode, John and Kyle go over the most common causes of backups in residential and commercial situations, as well as some things to look for that may signal an impending backup. As a homeowner, the sewer pipes are just as important (and expensive to fix) as a roof, windows, etc. so we highlight some things to look out for and actions to take to possibly prevent a backup. • Trenchless vs. No Dig: What's the Difference?

10 APR 2024 · In this short episode, John breaks down the difference between the terms "trenchless" and "no-dig" as these are two commonly mistaken phrases in our industry. At Royal Flush, we do TRENCHLESS pipelining (otherwise known as CIPP) which does not necessarily mean "NO DIG" and that is exactly what we dive into in this episode. • What Causes Flooding? Storms Drains and Catch Basins Explained

2 APR 2024 · There has been flooding in Rhode Island and Southern Massachusetts at an astronomical rate the last few years, as well as other places around the country. In this week's episode, John explains the reasoning for these floods, and how regular maintenance to town and city storm drains can bring an end to these issues, and prevent flooding from the sewer systems when rainy weather comes about. • Becoming a Blue Blood in Business (Episode 36)

19 MAR 2024 · John and Kyle sit down and talk about the parallels between business and March Madness. At Royal Flush, we want to become a "blue blood program" who hold a standard of excellence in business, and not a "Cinderella story" who makes one good run and is content. • Subcontractors (Episode 35)

5 FEB 2024 · John and Kyle sit down and discuss subcontractors, what subcontractors are, and a specific scenario where a customer was experiencing problems with the sewer line at her house. In this scenario, the customer reached out to another company to line her pipes. This business doesn't actually do anything in the pipe lining world, so without her knowledge, they were going to "subcontract" the project to another company. • Pipe Lining Explained (Episode 34)

31 GEN 2024 · In this episode, we talk about the pipe lining process. In a longer form piece of content, our goal is to go in depth describing and explaining why each of these steps may be necessary. John harps on the importance of step 1, the camera inspection. Identifying and understanding what is going on in your sewer pipe and why it's causing you issues at your home or business is a key step to resolving that issue as quickly as possible. • Thinking Outside the Box

8 GEN 2024 · In this week's episode, John talks about our recent project in East Providence, RI at Mega Solutions. Their building had a pipe running under a courtyard, and in order to dig an access pit, our likely scenario was to hand dig the pit. John talks about Marc's outside the box thinking in hiring a third party crane company to lift the excavator over the building and into the courtyard. This solution saved us time and money, as we were able to complete the job in one less day, and save our crew a day of digging in the cold New England weather.
