On air, 103.9 The Maverick plays the classics: the songs that made you fall in love with country music. But somewhere out there, the next legends are already on their way up, and we think some of them have what it takes to be Mavericks one day. Rising Mavericks is where you meet them first. Hosted by Emyle from Kirsch & Emyle in the Morning, each episode features her chatting with one of country music's rising stars about the music, the stories behind the songs, the road that got them here… and whatever else Emyle feels like asking.
Get to know them now, so one day you can say you heard them here first.

And he might be the reason FGL is back together. 👀 This week’s Rising Maverick, George Birge, tells Emyle how he almost gave up on being an artist, how he asked for “Mind on You” back, and why “Boots Up” felt like a hit the first time he played it live. He also settles the “Big Green Tractor” debate and tells us what he loves about Columbus.
🎟️ See George at The Bluestone this Friday, Nov 6! https://www.axs.com/events/1540236/george-birge-tickets
