7 APR 2022 · Iain Matthews is one of Britain's foremost singer-songwriters. From his early days in Fairport Convention to Plainsong to the fabulous fresh music he's still creating today. He's contributed to at least 100 albums and scored a huge UK Number 1 on October 31, 1970, with a cover of Joni Mitchell's, 'Woodstock.' Iain tells how the lad who grew up in the steel town of Scunthorpe in the UK moved to London in his teens just see what all the London fuss was about. He explains why he quit 'Matthews Southern Comfort' so dramatically just as success arrived. And why it was important to carry on that project many years later. Still touring, producing books, and recording new music, thankfully Iain Matthews is as busy as ever from his home in the Netherlands.
