5 NOV 2018 · It is November 5th 2018, Welcome to the 3rd annual Million Mask March Live on The 5 broadcast.
15 years ago a seed fell on fertile soil, and began to grow into a mighty tree with solid strong roots,
eventually the tree blossomed with tens of thousands of beautiful flowers each one different, yet still the same.
Nature dictates that beauty and strength attract praise and conflict, support and subterfuge.
Termites have been eating the tree for almost as long as it has been alive,
in time the tree became sick and withered, not even the strong roots could save it.
The termites ate the tree until there was nothing left but a pile of dust.
Then the termites all died because there was no more tree to eat.
This seems like the end of the story but it is only the beginning, it begins today,
as the tree died, the thousands of flowers fell to the ground planting hundreds of thousands of seeds.
Today those seeds begin to take root, many will grow stronger than the original tree,
growing into an impenetrable forest that all the termites in the world couldn't ever destroy.
We are those seeds, no matter what banner we fight under,
we are the razor sharp fragments of the shattered guy fawkes mask.
We are dangerous. We are the oppressed, we are the occupied, we are the freedom Fighters,
we are the anti-authoritarians, we are the anti-fascists, we are the uncompromising,
we are the warriors, we are the revolutionaries, we are the citizens of the world, we are The People,
we are everyone and and we are no one, but make no mistake, we are everywhere.
Today is our Million Mask March, we will gather in every major city of every nation across the globe,
some with masks and bandanas some without, all shoulder-to-shoulder united in solidarity
with our brothers and sisters around the world, we stand against all tyranny and fascism,
we fearlessly stand face-to-face against the enemys soldiers with our fists raised against
their system that oppresses us all.
Today we fight for justice for ALL our fallen brothers and sisters murdered by the state.
Today we fight for justice for all our brothers and sisters who are political prisoners unjustly
held by the state.
Today we fight for ALL power to be given to the people.
Today we fight so future generations of humans don't have to.
It's time to stop clinging to what was, and embrace this evolution.
As many things change, some will always remain the same. We do not forgive. We do not forget. Expect Us.
