In her own words, this led to her “ looking for love in the wrong places” and only resulted in her feeling even more unloved and abandoned. In a moment of hopelessness, she attempted to end the pain by attempting suicide….several times. But hope came in the form of her son… and she sought therapy as a way to build a healthy sense of self.
