When the pandemic hit and lasted, our family decided to move from southern BC, Canada to the middle of the province, to farm. Colder weather, climate change curve balls and a significantly shorter growing season are a few of the hurdles to work through. Not to mention that I, myself, have zero farming experience. Small scale farming will be explored with sustainable farming practices, including vermiculture and permaculture.
The ability to laugh and learn from my mistakes will be essential. There will be plenty of opportunity to practice patience and self reflection.
