In this powerful episode of Groove with Portia, I sit down with Christine Olson, founder of T.I.F.F. To Inform Families First. After waiting six hours to learn that her daughter, Tiffiany, had been killed in a motorcycle accident, Christine realized there was a gap in the emergency notification system that no family should ever experience.
Tiffiany was only 22 years old. She was an organ donor. In her passing, she saved seven lives. But before that gift could even be processed, her mother was left waiting.
Christine shares how that devastating night led her to work with lawmakers, law enforcement, and the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles to create a voluntary emergency contact registration system connected to driver’s licenses.
