14 MAG 2025 · This week on the Exciting & New podcast, Jason, Andy and Dana are flying solo (can 3 people fly solo?) as they discuss the 1985 comedy Teen Wolf. This movie stars Marty McFly, freshly back from 1955, with a strange side effect to time travel.... he is a Teen Wolf. This movie has the Michael J Fox charm for sure, but there just seems to be something missing. It might be the supporting cast, which is lacking compared to BTTF. But there is still a lot to like about this movie, and we all had a lot of fun discussing this one. Enjoy the podcast!

7 MAG 2025 · This week on the Exciting & New podcast, Jason, Andy and Dana welcome Dan back on the podcast as they discuss the 1985 comedy Spies Like Us. As we roll into the Summer of Chase, we get our first look at Prime Chevy along with Cuck Dan. Honestly how odd is it to cast your wife in a movie you wrote, but have her hooking up with your Co-Star. Weird, right? I guess even in the movie world it seemed odd to have Donna Dixon hooking up with a nerd like Dan Aykroyd. Anyway, there are some Russian in this one but the American turn out to be the bad guys. Just like last week, there was a difference of opinions when it came to the scores for this movie, but more toward the positive side. Enjoy the podcast.

30 APR 2025 · This week on the Exciting & New podcast, Jason, Andy and Dana welcome Jim back on the podcast as we discuss the 1985 surreal comedy Brazi. This one was a divisive one (at least from the point of veiw of one person). A little too Monty Python for some, a little too batshit crazy for others. Robert DeNiro for some reason shows up. There's a Hobbit (or is he an Android) and Super Mario shows up. This move was a weird one. Apparently this is part 2 of Terry Gilliam's "Trilogy of Imagination". If this is what he is imagining, I feel sorry for this guy when he closes his eyes to go to sleep at night. Anyway, the podcast is just about as weird as the movie we are discussing. Enjoy!

This is our Val Kilmer tribute to the recently late star. The movie might not be the best, but Val is at HIS best in this one. Some of the 80s scummier bad guys show back up in this one as...scummy bad guys. And some random nerds from other nerdier (and better) movies are here as well. It might not be the best comedy of 1985, but we had fun discussing it. Enjoy the podcast!

In this Richard Pryor vehicle, a way-past-his-prime baseball pitcher inherits an insane amount of money. But first he must spend an insane amount of money. John Candy is the awesome best friend. Stephen Collins is the child molester (in real life, not this movie). We all have a great time discussing how we would spend $30 million and agree it wouldn't be that hard. This movie holds up.
