20 OTT 2025 · In this episode, Simona De Rosa, Partner and Senior Researcher at T6 Ecosystems, presents T6 work with policy dialogue in European projects by bringing a concrete example: the PACESETTERS Policy Brief, a document we delivered to highlight the role of artistic research in Europe’s regenerative future.
Over the years, T6 has developed a structured approach to policy dialogue, but we do not have a unique receipt. The process is tailored made for the projects where we are engaged. For example, for the policy brief “PACESETTERS: Empowering Creative and Cultural Practitioners to shape Europe’s Regenerative Future” we start from research, but we translate findings into strategic, actionable recommendations. We time our outputs to match key EU debates, like the next Horizon Europe Work Programme or the upcoming Multiannual Financial Framework, and we frame our recommendations in a way that resonates with policymakers — concrete, practical, and linked to Europe’s wider competitiveness and transition goals.
Through this process, T6 acts as a mediator: connecting the world of research and innovation with the world of policy.

PACESETTERS seeks to accelerate the climate transition by moving beyond individual, short-term entrepreneurship toward collaborative and sustainable action. The project explores support mechanisms that empower art, culture, creativity, and heritage to drive climate action.

The first Open Call for Participatory Art Initiatives was launched to identify and support 19 of these initiatives that use art to spark civic engagement, raise water literacy, and mobilize local communities around specific environmental challenges. Each selected initiative receives funding, mentorship, visibility, learning and exchange opportunities.
Salvatore presents how T6 led the co-design sessions that brought together marine scientists, artists, activists, and community stakeholders. We applied our expertise in stakeholder mapping, participatory methodologies, and socio-economic impact assessment to embed our core values directly into the call.
