The way we are treated as children, as well as the events we store in our important developing memory, influence how we define our self-worth, our relationships, and even our decision-making.

6 APR 2022 · It is up to us, as adult offspring of dysfunctional families, to resolve our grief and trauma and return to happiness and healing. We can overcome the darkness that has been implanted in us, but it will take dedication and standing up to the facts and needs that we've been hiding from everyone (including ourselves).

Parents should protect and nurture their children, not shatter their hearts and make them question their sanity. Unfortunately, some toxic parents gaslight their children in order to make them doubt their reality, and they regularly feed them the narrative that they are doing nothing wrong as parents.
