The federal government is investigating alleged violations of U.S. election laws by aliens who admitted to voting in American elections. The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released the following statement announcing that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested dozens of individuals in connection with alleged voter fraud and election-related offenses across the United States, including numerous cases of aliens admitting to unlawfully registering to vote or casting ballots in American elections.
“The patriots of ICE have arrested dozens of non-citizens who illegally voted in American elections,” said DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin. “Some of them have criminal histories that include assault with a dangerous weapon, domestic violence, drug trafficking, burglary, and driving under the influence. The Trump Administration will not allow illegal aliens to steal the votes of hardworking American citizens. American elections are for Americans only.”

Juan Carlos Matute-Hernandez, a criminal illegal alien from Honduras who illegally voted in the 2026 election. His criminal history includes an arrest for driving offenses.
Aden Hassan Aden, a criminal alien from Somalia who illegally voted in the 2020 election. His criminal history includes convictions for domestic violence, drug possession, and larceny.
Arturo Salazar Garcia, an illegal alien from Mexico who illegally voted in the 2024 election.
Jaimie Sosa-Sardina, a criminal alien from Cuba who illegally voted in the 2024 election. His criminal history includes convictions for selling cocaine, battery, and resisting an officer.
Marva Marie Cook, a criminal alien from Germany who illegally voted in the 2022 election. Her criminal history includes a conviction for larceny.

Election season is officially in high gear, and scammers are wasting no time going after voters. The FBI just dropped a major warning pointing out how fraudsters are using everything from AI deepfakes to fake donation sites to snatch cash and personal details ahead of the midterms.
How AI deepfakes and fake campaign pools work
Cybercriminals are leaning heavily into generative AI, making candidate images and voice clones look shockingly real. One strange trap gaining traction is the “campaign investment pool” scheme. Scammers pitch this as a collective fund where you donate money today and supposedly get a cash payout if your preferred candidate wins. The FBI made sure to remind everyone that real political campaigns never offer financial returns, so any promise of profit is a dead giveaway for fraud.
Fake PACs and phantom merchandise online
Fraudsters are also setting up fake Political Action Committees, or PACs, to trick supporters into giving money. Instead of handing those donations to a campaign, the scammers just stash the cash in their own pockets. Others are running fake web stores selling campaign hats, t-shirts, and lawn signs that never actually ship after you pay. According to recent data from the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center, these non-delivery scams remain one of the most common web cons in the country. To avoid getting burned, always check official election commission records before donating to any PAC (via The Register).
Text message phishing exploits real news; Foreign interference and social media
Phishing text messages are another big headache right now. Scammers send mass texts warning that your voter registration is incomplete or about to expire, urging you to tap a link to fix it. These messages hijack local headlines to make them sound legit. In Texas, for example, technical glitches created a temporary application backlog that made it easier for scammers to easily prey on voter anxiety and tempt people to give up private information.
On top of financial scams, foreign influence campaigns are pushing out misleading political content on social media. X, like other platforms, recently banned more than 13,000 accounts linked to foreign operations out of Iran, Russia and China that were designed to spread misinformation and sow division among voters. The best way to protect yourself from financial fraud and online misinformation this season is to stay on official election websites.

Colleges are slashing tuition prices as students balk at soaring costs!!
Young Americans are reconsidering the value of a college degree given the high cost of college and the prospect of taking on student loan debt, which is prompting some colleges and universities to cut tuition costs to attract students and boost enrollment.
A report by Bloomberg noted that several colleges and universities have announced plans to lower their tuition either this year or in the next academic year when students arrive on campus in fall 2027. For example, Emory & Henry University historically offered significant merit scholarships amounting to up to $23,000 to help students negate some of the $40,000 price tag they faced, the report noted.
However, the school moved to reduce tuition by half to $19,900 for undergraduate students this academic year to lower the sticker price students are evaluating, while still offering merit scholarships up to $5,000 and covering tuition costs for certain in-state students from Virginia who meet income criteria.
"Our tuition reduction plan was just one piece of a larger strategic enrollment strategy," said Dr. Louise "Lou" Fincher, president of Emory & Henry University, told FOX Business. "Ultimately, we wanted our published tuition to better reflect the real cost of an Emory & Henry education."
