Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team has served the Lake District National Park in Cumbria, England since 1963. For over 70 years, the volunteers have been on call 24 hours a day 365 days a year. They are ready at a moment's notice to head out into the mountains in the most treacherous of weather conditions and risk their lives to save climbers, fell runners and walkers who find themselves in danger.
