greatest personal-development projects I have ever completed: 100 days of disciplined creativity.
I began by painting trees every day. My husband joined me, sketching German barns. And
almost immediately, the negative self-talk showed up.
You’re not good enough. You’re not an artist. Who do you think you are?
I threw paintings away. I judged myself harshly. So we created a new rule:
Produce first. Judge later.
Those 100 days eventually became The Wisdom of the Trees. Then came The Wisdom of the
Birds, where I began releasing perfection and allowing each bird to emerge however it wanted to.
Now I am creating the third book, The Wisdom of the Fish.
Looking back, I realize I wasn’t simply creating art. The practice was creating me.
This show explores how discipline, repetition, play, and courageous action can expose our
limiting beliefs and reconnect us with our own inner intelligence.
Your 100-day practice does not have to be art. It can be writing, exercising, meditating, building
a business, or learning something new.
The question is:
What might you discover about yourself if you stopped waiting to feel ready, went all in,
and stayed with something long enough for the wisdom within you to finally speak?
