El ex-alumno de USD se unió a la presentadora de "Al Borde de Todo", Lissette Martínez, para hablar sobre su experiencia en el Camino. Compartió la historia de un incidente que le dio una nueva perspectiva de la vida y contó cómo, después de varios años y desvíos, finalmente pudo llegar al Camino de Santiago.

The USD alum joined "At the Edge of It All" host Lissette Martinez to talk about his long road to the Camino. He shared a scary experience that gave him a new perspective on life and how, after several years and detours, he finally found his way to the Camino de Santiago.

19 GIU 2024 · Juneteenth became an official federal holiday in 2021, commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. “It’s not about freedom being given, it’s about freedom being proclaimed,” said T.J. Tallie. The director of Africana Studies at USD joined “At the Edge of It All” to talk about the holiday’s history and its future, as it becomes more widely-celebrated. He also explained how everybody can observe the holiday.

17 GIU 2024 · There’s a buzz among the group of Toreros in Spain, the night before they begin their trek along the Camino de Santiago. “At the Edge of It All” host caught up with recent USD graduate, Scott Prunty, and his longtime friend, Chase Lindgren, to talk about their reasons for making the trip, and — as some of the youngest people in the group — their journey through college to get to this point.

15 GIU 2024 · Over the next week, members of the USD community will join the pilgrimage — trekking along one of the many routes of the Camino de Santiago. "At the Edge of It All" host Lissette Martinez is there for the journey, and will be checking in throughout the trip. Today, she speaks with one of the group's guides named Dan Mailhiot, who explains what the Camino de Santiago is, and what makes it so special, attracting hundreds of thousands a year.

5 GIU 2024 · On June 2, 2024, Mexicans elected their country’s first-ever woman president, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo. Emily Edmonds-Poli, professor of political science and international relations, returned to “At the Edge of It All” to break down the election that had the largest voter turnout in that country. She discusses the magnitude of a woman being elected to lead Mexico, some of the political challenges she’ll face, and how she might tackle issues with global implications, especially Mexico’s relationship with the United States, as this country prepares to elect a new president of its own.

29 MAG 2024 · Robert Eberhart has been an entrepreneur and now teaches students how to be entrepreneurial, deeply analyzing the field down to the meaning of the word itself. The Director of USD’s Ahlers Center for International Business joined “At the Edge of It All” to discuss the evolving concept of entrepreneurship in 2024. He also talked about going from running a successful international business to pursuing a PhD and becoming a professor. Finally, he laid out some of the key qualities entrepreneurs need to find success.
