With everything that has happened you have to wonder, does my vote count. In the scheme of thing maybe.
When you hear things that are happening in Pennsylvania about 1.8 million mail in ballots being sent out and 2.5 million returning it makes you question things. If there is voter fraud then that devalues the process.
As individuals how can we stand by while a broken system is in place? I’d like to know that when everyone goes to the polls there is certainty that their votes will be tallied correctly.
What do you think? Does this election have voter fraud or is it just not true?

Today’s podcast is a conversation with Mike Salinas and myself about the afterlife. Mike recently listened to a podcast on Earth Ancients Podcast and it was interesting to me.
Wether you are a religious person or not I think everyone is curious on what happens after we die. Most of the time we look at death as the end but maybe it’s really the beginning. Obviously when someone close to us passes we always want more time with them. Wanting to hold on is a personal problem I have myself. Letting go has always been hard.
What do you believe? Is there a heaven and hell? Personally when it is all said and done I hope to see everyone on the other side.

It doesn’t take much to notice that our political atmosphere is terrible. We have so much going on with so many issues that you can’t just say 1 thing is wrong. I think we deserve better as Americans.
I think our politicians should be better. On one hand we have Donald Trump running for re-election and on the other we have what seems to be the Democratic Party running for president. No Joe Biden and Kamala Harris but the whole Democratic Party is running and looking for power.
No matter where you stand or what your beliefs are stand firm to what your you beliefs are and don’t choose one side because “your family has only voted blue” or “only voted red”. Look at what the candidates policies are and what they have done in the past. See who they are before you cast your vote and see if they line up with who you want them to be.

Spotify is trying to censor Joe Rogan. Well I shouldn’t say Spotify, I should say their editors. So Spotify signs a deal with Joe Rogan, they pay him a certain amount of money, and his whole podcast library is supposed to be available. That hasn’t been the case.
At what point do the employees run the show? Why is it that employees feel like they have this immense power where they say “If you don’t do this we are going to protest”. Why doesn’t Spotify say “If you don’t do your job you can quit, and protest all you want”.
It’s not like there is a shortage of workers out there. Spotify signed a contract with an individual and they are supposed to honor it. Plain and simple.

25 AGO 2020 · Podcast 74:
The first Picture is a picture of Beirut before the explosion. The second is a picture of the explosion in Beirut.
Lebanon has been plagued by corruption and self serving politicians for years. Since their Civil War ended in the early 90’s there has been a rotating roster of corruption and the people have paid the price for it. Inflation of their currency has crippled things, COVID-19 hits to make it worse, then this explosion happens because a large deposit of ammonium nitrate (fertilizer) was left unchecked for years.
This happened 20 days ago and the toll is this, 220 lives lost and 300,000 homes destroyed. What has the government done? The Lebanese Prime Minister and his cabinet resigned but the President won’t relinquish his power. Is he part of the problem too.
Something for us to take into consideration is that things like this can happen when self serving politicians and corruption are allowed to thrive. We need to keep our own politicians in check and vote out any that have been there too long and have done nothing.

Is our speech free? Often we hear of individuals making statements and then having to pay dearly for it afterwards. We can thank cancel culture for that.
Today I use the example of Drew Bree’s making a statement about standing for the American Flag. He caught some backlash behind it but I didn’t think what he said was wrong. I think he made a good statement and that should have been it. He had to make a statement about his statement later on apologizing and I think that’s ridiculous. Can he not have his own opinion? If his opinion doesn’t match up with to what everyone else wants why is it a problem?
I think cancel culture needs to come to an end. It is one thing to hold someone accountable. It’s a completely different thing to ruin someones lively hood over something that can be trivial.

Today I have a conversation with a man going through the police academy right now. We talk about his experience and joining during trying times.
With everything going on these days it's difficult to think about joining the police. Unless you have a sense of service. Now is the time for good men and women to step up to the plate and repair the broken relationship the police have in some community's. A lot of the men and women who do the job do it honorably.

29 MAG 2020 · Podcast 71:
George Floyd was murdered a few days ago and now Minneapolis is under civil unrest. Tensions with police have risen and everyone is looking for answers. The problem is no one knows where to find them. You can’t just say cops need to stop killing blacks because that is just the outcome of the problem. The root of the problem is that police officers are under trained. They need more training. How many people need to die before the people in power see that additional training is needed and that it needs to start happening now.
As a supporter of law enforcement it’s ok to support them and condemn police violence. It’s ok to say there is a problem and that it needs to be fixed.
Why do we respond to these tragic events with looting and violence. I understand that there is anger. I understand that people want justice. Looting and burning down buildings doesn’t fix the problem. It creates new problems. Burning down a police precinct is going to need to be fixed. The money that is going to be used to fix it is going to come from the tax payer.
In closing it’s important to understand that not all police officers are bad. There are a great number of them that do their job right and put their lives on for the citizens in their towns.

During this time of uncertainty its easy to loose appreciation for the simple things. We want to be able to continue our daily lives as if nothing has changed. COVID-19 has swept across the world and everyone has felt the effects one way or another.
With this time off use it to better yourself in some way or to finish things that haven't been completed yet. Enjoy time with your family or fix a broken relationship with an old friend who you still care about. With the amount of free time we have we can do a lot of good and get ourselves ahead for when this is over.
