Kaylee, Miani and Ruby speak with 2015 /16 Australian Poetry Slam Champion, Philip Wilcox. Philip is represented by Nexus Arts, which has been touring amazing authors and performers to schools for over 35 years and they are very proud to be representing Philip. Philip is the current Australian Poetry Slam Champion and two-time NSW Poetry Slam Champion and he delivers performances of spoken word poetry with a wit and power that enthral and delight. He challenges audiences with a mix of humour and social insight that steers clear of the didactic or prescriptive. Philip has performed at the Sydney Opera House and literary festivals both nationally and internationally and he recently released his debut collection of poems ‘Beetle Prayer’.
