Before I arrive to write each morning I take two walks. The first is at 4:30 am. The second is nearly an hour later. I'm two completely different people during each walk. The first is the grateful stroll. I listen to the atmosphere of the forest with the owls, the full moon with all it's shadows and anything else that wants to be seen in darkness. It's my way of saying "I'm mindful of this moment." The second walk takes on a little more serious tone. I call it my Intention Walk. I must look like a crazy fool talking out loud, "My intention today is to reach people. My intention today is to create better than I did yesterday. My intention today is to help someone locate success." It sets up the mindset before entering the studio to record. On this podcast I go extremely deep on where the majority of us are in this thing called 2018. We aren't anywhere near where we're supposed to be. Sadly, we've allowed it to happen. Walk out into a forest or a park and put your fingers in the soil. What do you feel? The dampness from a storm that's passed? The roots of another living thing? If you were to look beneath the surface you'd see seeds. Lots of seeds. Your mind body and soul are no different. Inside of you are seeds. You're endlessly dropping off dreams, wishes and ambitions. They fall to your forest floor and just lay there. They need to be cultivated. Your soil needs to have activation. Take that Intention Walk and tell yourself, "My intention today is to grow forward."
