Having earned advanced degrees in medicine, psychology, theology, and music, Dr. Zgourides is a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine with many years of experience in education, primary care, and sexual medicine. He also holds active memberships in the American Academy of Family Practice, Texas Academy of Family Practice, Texas Medical Association, Texas Urological Society, Sexual Medicine Society of North America, International Society for Sexual Medicine, American Association of Integrative Medicine, and Association of American Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Zgourides has written extensively on optimizing health through integrating medicine and psychology with an emphasis on evidence-based lifestyle solutions, including his textbook, Human Sexuality: Contemporary Perspectives (HarperCollins), as well as recently updated second editions of three of his books, Stop Feeling Tired!, Stop Worrying About Your Health!, and Don't Let Them Psych You Out!
