Radio was a family affair for Marv Dyson. With both his parents and siblings already on-the-air, it wasn’t hard for him to make the leap. But he kept to the business-side, starting in sales and ending up as general manager, hiring some of the biggest names in Urban Radio. He shares with Jeanne how he made that climb; the best advice his dad gave him about making decisions; how he created the history-making Fly Jock; and why giving comedian Steve Harvey his break into radio is his biggest regret.

He previously co-owned 13 radio stations and served as director of operations at Kennedy King College’s radio station WKKC-FM. His professional honors include Illinois Broadcaster of the Year (2007), and inclusion in Radio Inc. magazine’s top 10 list of “The Best Radio General Managers in America from 1999 to 2003.”

I found you🤣. This was an amazing interview, I didn't want it end. I smiled and laughed the entire time! I was so blessed to live in this era of my young adult life. When radio was fun and classy.... pushing the envelope just a little and you, a young woman getting them together real quick 🥰🤣
