We numb ourself down because we don't want to feel, we don't want to get let down again. We've seen our hopes and dreams shattered in front of our very eyes. Because of that, some of us have stopped getting our hopes up when good things happen, it's quick lived and gone just as fast. However, lets look at this subject from a deeper perspective, how often have the things we wanted not happened, not taken place, it hurts us momentarily and then we realize later we didn't want it, it wasn't good for us, something better was on the way, or if we would have gotten what we wanted that specific time it would have actually killed us? Often we don't realize how everything pieces together, and because we walk around in fear of not getting what we want we are numb to emotion, excitement, and the thrill that should be our life.
Reggie Harvey, the author of Anatomy of a Patient, weighs in with his perspective on getting one's hopes up and how it can feel on a level of a transplant and the transplant not taking place and being told it's not a match. In this case, Reggie got his hopes up, like anyone would and then he was told it wasn't a match, he later found out if they would have been given that liver he would have died. Some may say this is a silver-lining way of looking at things, however doesn't this put order back into the world? Listen to this show and find a new perspective on reactivating success and passion back into your life. Let go of the fear of things not working out and begin to embrace your life, I provide solutions in this show that will change your life forever!
