We don't live in a democracy. We live in the form of democracy. It's called the Constitutional Republic. It's a more representative system. I take issue with people calling the US a democracy because it gives a false understanding of how the "system" works. And then wonder why there "vote" doesn't count when the majority wins. The system is checks and balances and your vote does count toward the Electoral College
voter. It's to ensure the policy is carefully crafted to meet everyone's needs and not just a quick approach without consideration of the minority side. Sadly our system has been sold to the rich and well-connected. The first move needs to be to get money out of all politics.
