The attack of the US Capitol was a coup attempt, a last ditch effort to steal an election by force. President Trump, who really should be called a dictator, was his best and last shot to change an election by attempting to stop the count of the state certifications. It didn't work and his words inspired another action on his part and he will and should be held accountable. White thugs, not protesters, were given free reign of the Capitol Facility, When your white your right and get access to commit criminal activity because your not seen as a threat compared to being black or people of color. There is striking different treatment when the Black LIves Matter protest took place in the summer of 2020. Everyone was heavily armed and suited up where 400 people were arrested and Black LIves Matter Plaza was cleared with force in order to allow Trump to take a photo at the church across the street from the White House. Only 68 so far have been made for the Trump Insurrection of the US Capitol. This was allowed because of white privilege in action.
