When Obedience Feels Costly
Scripture: Luke 9:23—Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”
Following God will cost you something. And this topic is where many people become uncomfortable. Because we like the idea of blessing… we like the idea of purpose… we like the idea of peace… But we don’t always like the idea of denial. Jesus said if you’re going to follow Him, you must deny yourself. Not sometimes. Not occasionally. But daily.
Accept Jesus today.

If you would like to accept Jesus into your heart today, pray this simple prayer:
****God, I have sinned against You. I believe that Jesus is Your Son, who died and rose for my sake. I ask you to forgive me for my sin. I place my trust in You for salvation. I receive you as my Lord and Savior. In Jesus' name, I am forgiven! Amen!
****Congratulations! You are now a child of the Most High. John 1:12 says, "But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God."
****If you just prayed this prayer to receive Jesus Christ as your Savior, I welcome you to the family of God. Subscribe to my channel and type in the comments right now, “I just prayed that prayer.”
