On today, Dr. King's birthday, I share this excerpt from my book/one-woman show, "What Would the Ancestors Say??" I implore us all to pay homage to not only Dr. King's work and dedication in fighting for Black people in the United States to access our rights but to also honor his growth and candor in realizing that the path he set out on needed to shift once he came to understand the opposition for what they were.
