Summer 2023 in Vermont can be remembered by one word: wet. That said, no one expected VT to receiveas much rain as it did in early July in such a short time frame. 3-9 inches of rain came down within a 48 hour period on July 10 and 11 causing catastrophic flooding including washouts and landslides along many major roadways and corridors connecting Vermont communities.
