He is a 5 time WR holder, a 3 time world medalist, a 6 time European medalist, and the greatest rival to Naim Suleymanogu. Valerios was also a member of the Greek 'Dream Team' alongside Pyrros Dimas and Kakhi Kakhiashvili, and he competed in what has been described by many as 'the greatest weightlifting session of all time'.
