Masculinity doesn’t have to be oppressive, but it is now synonymous to oppression. Meaning, you can’t talk about masculinity without the mention of oppression. Even though this doesn’t apply to all guys, most fall under this category. Some have been made to believe that, for you to be respected as a guy, you have to be tough, you have to conceal your emotions cause expressing your emotion makes you weak, which isn’t true in any way.
