Chaka Khan's "my funny valentine" was also a cover originally done by Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn & Miles Davis...my mom's and I loved Michael McDonald's soulful voice...

Luther...(I believe Ofah had sometin' to do w/ his demise, but I digress) I enjoy hearing U sing along, can't be helped & it's healing too...I know this is strange but at the time I didn't like Luther...'proly because ev1 else did...ke keee!

Baduizmmmm! Oh yeah....I loved this album at the time, soooo many gems there..."green eyes" was very reminiscent of the '20's music scene among us here...breath of fresh air!

Yeah moody's mood was a retro acapella take on James Moody's version in '49...which was based on the orginal '35 hit "I'm in the mood for love"...this song was played in a lotta cartoons esp. Popeye lol!
