respectfully, i think this is one case, isolated or not, where y'alls ingestion of socila media discourse seems to have polluted your viewing and reviewing of this film. i wonder what your take on it would be if you'd not been party to mainstream perceptions of it? i also wonder why you wouldn't acknowledge it as a fantasy or sci-fi film, clothed as a blaxploitation one? overall, i appreciated your reflections on it but i also walk away wishing you guys could get advanced copies to view before the rest of us. just my 2cents. enjoy the pod!
