The fellas talk about the hot topics from the football world by combing Twitter for some hot takes to grill up on the Hot Takes BBQ. The guys talk about the awful roughing the passer calls over the weekend, Baker Mayfield killing another coach’s career, Zac Taylor’s awful playcalling and the over zealous young coaches in the NFL, the new concussion protocol and how great it must be to be the Wobble Spotter, and the revival of NFL Europe after Roger Goodell’s latest comments about the NFL and the Europe market.
Joe Hall (hallacrossthecountry.com) checks in from the road in Utah, and tells us about meeting with a state representative and his run-ins with the highway patrol since crossing into yet another state. The Suicide and Crisis Lifeline is 988. If you, or someone you know needs help, there is always someone willing to listen.
The guys talk about some college football, as Cesar is too hyped for his Longhorns’ big win over Oklahoma. Mike unveils a new Wiseguy’s top 10, and floats a conspiracy theory that an LSU fan posted on a message board after their loss to Tennessee.
The guys try to talk about the MLB playoffs, but Mookie’s gonna Mookie, and ends up taking a minute to laugh at the Columbus Crew.
