As the wildfire in Maui continues to rage, it's now being reported that at least 36 people have lost their lives, with that number expected to increase in the future, due to the conditions still impeding rescue teams from reaching hard hit areas.
Along with the loss of life, there has been irreparable harm caused to cultural sites and the town of Lahaina has literally been wiped out.
Federal authorities have mobilized assets on the Island and the national guard is also responding.
