I look at this clean sheet of paper never once touched by anything or anyone until this moment. Not a power trip! It’s a partnership. The openness of connection prepared by a passion to be enlightened by something far greater than any of us. I’m a huge people watcher. The length of our speeches and the volumes we reach give me permission to listen from a distance. Facebook and Twitter posts are no different. On this podcast episode we talk about how we believe that we are what will make this moment. We shall be remembered for what’s been sacrificed. We shall carry the image of our creative flow toward a personalized victory. When in fact no matter what we do today, our power trips are excess fat on a bone. What is our part in the story? We’re staring at the news headlines and developing our own methods of consumption. The physical ability to have a voice in a world that’s never been this loud. Because we’re convinced we’re being heard! In what way I ask? More importantly, in what universe? I deal with this as a daily writer. 4:30 am every day! That blank empty clean sheet of paper sits in front of me. And each day I’m disciplined to make words count. If I was brave enough I’d put on display how I used to daily write twenty six years ago in 1994. I still have every page. Being present in this place of Now gives us permission to listen to the elements that make up where you stand. Like prayer. The best part of the process is when you stop talking and just listen. A partnership. The openness of connection. So easily achieved yet so easily set aside when life no longer feels fair. I consume a lot of water. Not rich people water. Not flavored water. Water from the kitchen faucet. Not because I’m thirsty. Not to fulfill my mother’s wish of 8 ounces a day. I take in a lot of water. Without it? I’m a dried up riverbed. For there to be a continuation there must be flow. In order for it to work with your personalized ambitions you have to agree to participate with what’s moving around you and how it’s reaching the roots of all things available in the your moment of Now. Equally love and peace shall grow.
