Jude Law hunts Nicholas Hoult’s violent white supremacist group in “The Order,” the true-story crime thriller from Australian director Justin Kurzel. Law plays FBI agent Terry Husk, Hoult plays group leader Bob Mathews, and Tye Sheridan co-stars in this early-1980s Pacific Northwest story, adapted from the nonfiction book “The Silent Brotherhood.” It closes the Radicalized series that began with “American History X” and “Get Out.”
Pete and Andy dig into the real split inside the movement between patience and action, and the debate over whether a story with two steadfast leads can keep its momentum. If you want a conversation that pairs great performances with honest doubts about the structure, this is it. We have a great time talking about it, so check it out then tune in—The Next Reel on TruStory FM, when the movie ends, our conversation begins!
Keep going with Talk Radio, the other Alan Berg-adjacent movie on The Next Reel, and Cinematographer Jayson Crothers on Heat on Movies We Like.
