Prophets are inspired by the Lord to speak with boldness and authority. Prophets are messengers of God.
The Prophet has 3 primary tasks which he/she shares with the other members of the ascension gifts:
1). Perfecting (maturing) of the saints of God
2). The work of the ministry
3). The edifying of The Body of Christ
