In fact, the only safety net is around the prophet, who cannot lead the church into apostasy. Everyone else is open game, when it comes to the Devil, and they can lead you far astray. Especially in an age where pornography reigns, and the wheat are being choked by the tares. The notion of false local leaders is not only plausible, it is definitely more than likely.
