"The Blind Side" is a 2009 film directed by John Lee Hancock, based on the true story of Michael Oher, an impoverished African-American teenager who finds support and guidance from a wealthy white family, the Tuohys. They help him overcome his challenging background and develop his football talents, leading him to a successful career in the NFL. The movie explores themes of race, family, and determination while showcasing the transformative power of compassion and opportunity.

Well we were all blind sided when Michael Oher, the main character the movie was loosely based on filed a $15 million dollar lawsuit against the Tuohy's. Oher's claim Tuohy family never officially adopted him and instead tricked him into signing paperwork that locked him into a conservatorship, which gave them legal authority to make business decisions in his name.
