Just before becoming a book coach, Robin was an acquisitions editor for an independent publishing house. Put in charge of selecting works for publication, Robin realized that experts who are not professional writers need help to move book projects from start to finish.

She also has worked as a newspaper reporter and has researched and/or written freelance articles for The Washington Post, The New York Times Magazine, and Newsweek.
