The GRF Show Podcast Episode 16: Flat-out with Sim Vansevenant

A very special episode with rally simulator legend, Sim Vansevenant/ SRD_Flatout/Sim’s Racing!

We get to know Sim a little and about his background and how he got into rally. We talk about his DR2.0 driving, his livery making (with a humble revelation later on in the episode), and his high-production values as a YouTuber making videos about rally games.
We talk a lot about what is known, what we want to see and what we speculate with the new EA Sports WRC game, to be released in November 2023.

This transitions us into talking about the new game and what GRF’s plans are to integrate the as yet sight-unseen game into the GRF clubs, while also not alienating those who are slower to migrate away from DR2.0.

Towards the end of the show, Sim tells us about his experience as a semi-finalist in the DR 2.0 World Series in 2021. We touch on the perils of burning out, when our hobby begins to take up too much of our time and is not fun any more.
