"The Golden Bird" is a Brothers Grimm fairy tale following a king's youngest son, dismissed as too weak to succeed where his older brothers failed. Armed with the counsel of a mysterious talking fox, he sets out to capture a golden bird that has been stealing his father's enchanted apples. What follows is a chain of impossible tasks — retrieving a golden horse, rescuing a princess, and leveling a mountain — each one complicated by the prince's own impulsive choices and redeemed only by the fox's patient loyalty.
