In Chapter Five of The Giver, Jonas shares a dream during his family's morning ritual. The dream, set in the House of the Old, involves Fiona. Jonas wants to bathe her, but she refuses.Jonas doesn't understand his feelings and feels slightly embarrassed recounting the dream.
