Dave's life took a hard turn as he battled addiction from an early age. Experimenting with alcohol at 12 and hard drugs by the time he was 14, he found himself trapped in a spiral of self-destruction. It wasn't until June 1988 that he sought help and joined Alcoholics Anonymous (AA).It was during his recovery journey that Dave discovered the world of personal development. In 1995, he attended a seminar with renowned motivational speaker Tony Robbins, where he experienced his first firewalk. Inspired by this transformative experience, Dave joined Tony Robbins' team and worked as his Firewalk Captain for nearly two decades.

In 2014, Dave retired from the Anthony Robbins Companies and founded Firewalk Productions, LLC. Since then, he has put on awe-inspiring events for prominent organizations such as NASA, Google, Heineken, and many others. Dave's expertise in firewalking, coupled with his passion for personal growth, has made him a sought-after speaker and a catalyst for positive change.
