The Philadelphia Phillies season is all but over with only a few games remaining on their schedule, and it was disappointing for fans and the organization to say the very least. However, we're now going to start looking toward 2020 and the future. This week, John Stolnis, writer and contributor at TheGoodPhight.com and host of the Hittin' Season podcast, joined us to discuss where this Phillies organization, team and fan base goes from here. It's a great interview with John as always.
But first, we got into some listener feedback about bandwagon fans in sports. (approx. 6:45)
We then Jeff and Mike Raymond from Fox Sports Radio of the Lehigh Valley talked about this Penn State season and what we're seeing on offense and defense early on. (approx. 11:30)
From there, we talked about this very rough Eagles early season, and our thoughts on the coming game against the Green Bay Packers. (approx. 20:00)
We then discussed how Alain Vigneault is getting his team prepared with a new coaching philosophy during the Flyers preseason. (approx. 25:55)
This week on the Highbrow Segment, we talked about how NBA Commissioner Adam Silver is seemingly attempting to clamp down on tampering throughout the league. Will his efforts work now and into the future? (approx. 31:10)
Then on the Lowbrow Segment, the guys gave their top-3 all-time worst sports gimmicks from fans in the stands. (approx. 39:55)
What we're throwing down on the Table this week is an interview with friend of the show John Stolnis about this lackluster and disappointing Phillies team. The season is about to close, and many of us are already looking toward the offseason and what moves the Phillies front office may or may not make. Who should be targeted in the coming months to help with pitching? Will J.T. Realmuto be re-signed by the team? When might Alec Bohm be a consistent contributor in the future? All of this and much more Phillies talk this week on the Table! (approx. 51:00)
