Before we get into today’s show, just wanted to take a moment to remember everyone we lost during the 9/11 tragedy. Even though it was 19 years ago we shall never forget.

NFL -
OPENING WEEKEND!!
Moment of Unity - a sign of peace “boo’d” by small crowd in stands. Fans were allowed to be in the stands up to 20% of the total capacity. JJ WATT spoke out on twitter saying, “Booing during that moment was unfortunate. I dont fully understand that”. The Texans decided to stay in the locker room during the National Anthem and all but 1 Chiefs player stood during the Anthem. Thoughts?

TNF - Chiefs defeat the Texans 34-20 with the last 13 points that the Texans scored during “garbage time”.

First half of the game looked like it would be a close game with Texas stimeing the Chiefs opening drive and then again holding them to a field goal.. Before the Chiefs opened up a can of WHOOOP-ASS and held the Texans without a score till the end of the 4th quarter.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire… so far… Certified ground and pounder! Worth the price of admission. Although left a little to be desired at the goal line.. On several attempts he was unable to break through the goal line. Is that something to say about JJ Watt and the Texans D or something to worry about the break out Running back? Where did you draft him Artie?
Mahomes was almost perfect in his season debut, with a few balls getting away from him, but nothing the Texans penalties didnt help him get over.

New Onside Kick rule - No more running starts on the onside kicks really made the 1st attempt of the season seem like a waste of time AND the Chiefs almost ran it back for a TD!

Side note… Andy Reid’s face mask was fogged over so bad he could barely read his playbook! AND HE STILL lead the chiefs to a decisive win over the texans.
Texans RB Duke Johnson sprained his ankle during thursday nights loss to the Chiefs. His availability for Houston's next game on the 20th is now in question.

After that game Bernard Hopkins, who was traded away to the Cardinals, tweeted out THANKFUL … Interesting story about Hopkins … AZ coach tells him that he thinks he’s the best and he says I know. Opinion

NBA -
Teams are starting to distance themselves in the hunt for the championship. Lakers look to send the Rockets home as do the cross town Clippers to the Denver Nuggets. Looks like a Battle for LA in the Western Conference Finals.
Clippers blew a 16-point lead tonight, read it was the second time they did this in the playoffs this season. Love how the Rockets are awfully quiet after pumping their chests left and right during their first win.
HEAT, pun intended, stay on fire and eliminate the Bucks with a sweep. They are dangerous.
In the East the Heat blazed by the Bucks and are waiting for the winner of Boston and Toronto. The Heat look to be the team coming out of the East, who do you think would have a better chance of blowing out their flames? Boston or Toronto? Boston just advanced in the playoffs today beating the Raptors 92-87 in game 7.
