It was a win but far from impressive for Terence Crawford in capturing the WBA 154 lb. title Saturday night in Los Angeles. And, we're ready to recap that main event and the entire Riyadh Season card, plus, hear from a top Golden Boy Boxing contender in Vergil Ortiz, news and nostalgia on the newest "Fight Freaks Unite Recap Podcast!"

Host T.J. Rives returns with insider Dan Rafale of his Fight Freaks Unite Substack and BigFightWeekend.com are ready to go over it all. This, as Big Dan was on scene in California for rthis card that had a title upset and a HUGE heavyweight KO, too.

First, Crawford defeats champ Israil Madrimov.in a 12 round decision, but clearly had trouble scoring on the Uzbek former amateur star in the win. Dan has thoughts on Crawford and is a challenge of Canelo Alvarez two divisions up really an intriguing fight?

They also go over the Jose Valenzuela upset of Issac "Pitbull" Cruz by decision, as Valenzuela was the sharper figher in taking Cruz's WBA 140 lb. crown. Also, what's the future of both guys? Also, Dan has a great story about running into Valenzuela late Saturday night after his upset.

Then, it's heavyweight time as Andy Ruiz and Jarrell Miller fought a sloppy, big punching draw. Was the decision right? Should they fight again and how bad is Ruiz's injured right hand? And, what about Martin Bakole of the Congo pummeling American star Jared Anderson in a 5th round TKO upset? Bakole has definitely put himself into a large position in the top heavyweight contender category with the win. And, with everyone questioning Anderson's dedication to fighting, even at 24, will he respond from taking a real beating and stoppage Saturday for his first loss?

Dan also has thoughts on being there for David Morrell's light heavyweight win and Andy Cruz facing a tough test from Antonio Moarn, but pulling out the fight. 

Then, hear from Vergil Ortiz as he returns to the ring to challenge for the interim WBC 154 lb. title fight against Serhii Bohachuk in a 12 round main event in Vegas this week. He talks with Dan about that battle and his future that could now include a bout with Crawford down the road. 

There's fight news on Shakur Stevnson and his next bout, as he was at the L.A. card, as well. And, Dan has an update ont he reschedule of Caleb Plant's next bout. 

Then, there's excellent nostalgia on the EPIC Marquez-Vasquez II anniversary in 2007 in a bout that was the fight of the yaare and why Dan was at another title fight that night 17 years ago involving Erik Morales and others on the undercard for Chicago.
