Welcome back to another episode of the CHC podcast, I'm your host Aran and on this show, we are joined by Australian director Geoffrey Wright.

From an early age, he had always loved film and was passionate about the industry, leading him to be a film critic for some time. However, this was not enough for him to just sit in the audience and watch a movie - he wanted to make movies!

Since that vision many years ago he has created worlds beyond the imagination with films such as Romper Stomper (1992) starring non-other than Russell Crowe and Metal Skin which blended love, jealousy, action, and even some witchcraft/satanism together into a raw and visceral look at the low-income suburban areas of Australian cities.

Most notably, he directed the cult-classic slasher movie Cherry Falls (2000) which starred the talented Brittany Murphy.

PLOT - In the small town of Cherry Falls, Virginia, a black-clad, long-haired killer is offing various high school teenage virgins in different gory ways. Jody Markam, the virginal teenage daughter of the town's sheriff in charge of the investigation, launches her own investigation to figure out the killer's identity and stumbles into a web of long-hidden dark secrets spun around the killings involving people of the town she always thought she trusted which makes her one of the killer's primary targets.

Geoff is a wealth of knowledge in all forms of the industry and shares some great insight as to what it takes to make it. We get a look inside his career and most excitingly he tells ALL about Cherry Falls and the uncut version that we never got to see..
