On this week's program, host Phil Tower first welcomes CBS Newsradio Automotive expert/reporter, Jeff Gilbert. Jeff joined Phil for a conversation on the latest developments in the world of electric vehicles, including a new vehicle from Vietnam, a new all-electric Cadillac Escalade, an update on the Ford F150 lightning, and Jeff shares with us his experience of driving the all-electric new EV Hummer. In Michigan, and most other states, there has been an obvious push toward encouraging more drivers of electric vehicles, including installing more rapid charging stations across the state. But Jeff shares that we aren't quite there, yet in terms of making it an easy thing to own an electric vehicle.

In part two of this week's program, Phil welcomes Eliza Curtin, Senior Marketing and Communications Coordinator, with Bissell Pet Foundation, and Brittany Schlacter, Marketing, and Public Relations Specialist, with Bissell Pet Foundation. The 17th Annual BISSELL Blocktail Party was June 5 and 6, 2023, and it featured two nights of people, pets, food, and a lot of fun while raising funds for pets in rescues and shelters across the country. Blocktail is BISSELL Pet Foundation’s primary fundraising event, providing critical support to give homeless pets a second chance. Brittany and Eliza told us that since 2011, the foundation’s lifesaving programs have touched 614,513 pets.
